Robert Keane

President and CEO, Spirit Communications; CEO PalmettoNet

Robert Keane is the President and CEO of Spirit Communications and CEO of PalmettoNet. Keane joined the two companies with after 25 plus years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

He spent 18 years with AT&T in telecom equipment sales, business development, product management and access management and provided leadership in the development of local Internet, cable and access services. In 1997, he was named vice president of AT&T's local services with responsibility for strategic and fundamental planning in support of business, consumer and Internet business units, which included the integration of Teleport Communications Group (TCG) into AT&T.

In 1999, Bob joined Comcast and formed Comcast Business Communications the following year. As President and CEO, he had full financial and operating responsibility for the development of a subsidiary to provide fiber based services to small and medium business.

In 2002, he joined Cavalier Telephone as its President and COO overseeing the day-to-day operations of a regional CLEC operating in five states and an inter-city long haul optical network providing services in 15 states.

Before joining Spirit and PalmettoNet, he was President and CEO of Arena Racing LLC.

Larry Sims

Vice President of Operations

Larry Sims is vice president of operations for Spirit Communications and reports to Robert Keane, president and CEO of Spirit Communications and CEO of PalmettoNet.

Sims oversees the company's installations, operations (including field operations), maintenance and repair, Network Operations Center, customer care, billing and provisioning departments at the company's headquarters in Columbia.

Sims has 42 years experience in the telecommunications industry and most recently served as vice president of operations for Cavalier Telephone Company in Richmond, Va., which provides residential and business communication services in 16 states.

Before that he served in operations and service management for Verizon Communications. He served as the operations manager, federal systems division for Bell Atlantic and operations/staff manager for Bell. He began his career as a supervisor technician for Bell.

Sims attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. and technical and management training through Bell Atlantic/Verizon Communications.

In addition, he is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Greg Guerra

Executive Vice President of Strategy, Product Management and Business Development

Greg Guerra is Executive Vice President of Strategy, Product Management and Business Development.

Guerra, with more than 20 years in the communications industry, oversees the company's strategic planning, business development, product management, technical consulting and marketing functions.

He has served as the vice president of business development for Comcast Business Communications in Philadelphia and director of national planning for Teleport Communications of Princeton, N.J. providing commercial communication services. He began his communications career with AT&T in Bedminster, N.J. as district manager for local access and business development.

Guerra also is the founder of Home Central, a company that provides home owners and small business owners with the ability to manage their security systems, surveillance devices, heating and air conditioning systems and other devices remotely over the Internet.

He is a cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and graduated with honors from Seton Hall University's W. Paul Stillman School of Business with a master's degree in business administration.

Grey Humphrey

President of PalmettoNet and Executive Vice President of Sales for Spirit Communications

Grey Humphrey is the President of PalmettoNet and Executive Vice President of Sales for Spirit Communications.

Humphrey joined Spirit Telecom in 1998 as the general manager of the data networks group. Before taking his current role at PalmettoNet, Humphrey was Spirit's Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Spirit, Humphrey worked for TSI LineOne, SouthernNet, Telecom*USA, MCI and SCANA Communications.

A native of South Carolina, Humphrey is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in administrative management. He received his master of business administration from the University of South Carolina, Moore School of Business.

Julie Cathcart

Vice President of Human Resources

Julie Cathcart is the Vice President of Human Resources for Spirit Communications and PalmettoNet. She is responsible for all human resource, payroll and employee relations functions within both organizations.

Before joining Spirit, Cathcart worked at Rock Hill Telephone/Comporium and Spirit Telecom's Internet division. Her past work includes positions as a customer service and administration manager, international sales coordinator, payroll and Medicare/Medicaid accounts receivable coordinator, and personnel coordinator. Cathcart also is a member of the American Payroll Administration.

Cathcart graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resources Management. She received her master's degree from the University of Columbia College in Human Behavior and Conflict Management.

Tim Geyer

CFO Spirit Communications; CFO PalmettoNet

Tim has worked for Spirit Communications since July 2006 and was previously the company's director of accounting. In addition to overseeing the operations of the finance department, Tim is responsible for overseeing the budget and annual external audit, updating the monthly projections, participating in the company's strategic planning sessions, and presenting the monthly financial statements to the company's board of directors.

Before joining Spirit, Tim was a senior audit manager with the CPA firm Bauknight Pietras and Stormer, P.A. for nine years. While there, he specialized in accounting and audit services for telecommunications and technology companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 100 companies.

Tim has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting and a master's degree in accountancy from University of South Carolina, and he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
