Bob has over 34 years’ experience in communications industry beginning his career in 1981.  He has held numerous positions over the years with increasing responsibilities and management oversight.

He spent eighteen years within various AT&T entities holding a diverse set of assignments that covered sales, marketing, product management and access management. Bob began his career in the manufacturing arm AT&T Western Electric which became Lucent Technologies.  Transitioning to the Network Services Division, becoming VP-AT&T Local Services, Bob had overall responsibility for AT&T’s local market entry in support of business, consumer and Internet business units including the integration of Teleport Communications Group (TCG) into AT&T.

In 1999 Bob joined Comcast Cable, recruited to develop Comcast business market entry and formed Comcast Business Communications the following year.  As President and CEO, Bob had financial and operating responsibility for the development of a 100% owned and operated subsidiary aimed at providing fiber based services to small and medium business within Comcast markets. 

Later in 2001, Bob joined Private Equity backed Cavalier Telephone as their President and Chief Operation Officer overseeing the day to day operations of a regional CLEC operating in 5 states and an inter-city long haul optical network covering 15 states (Intellifiber). Bob developed the market segmentation strategy and technology plan that grew Cavalier’s revenue from mid $100M range to over $350M.  Bob also oversaw the acquisition and integration of three companies, including Dominion Telecom, in a 4 year period and the first CLEC implementation and product launch of IPTV in 2006.

Bob currently serves on the Boards of Spirit Communications and PalmettoNet, early stage companies of STEM Premier and Arena Racing USA, the Clemson University Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's (ECE) External Board of Advocates and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) FoundationPreviously, Bob served on the Board of Overseers of New Jersey Institute of Technology.

 

Greg Guerra, with more than 20 years in the communications industry, oversees the company's strategic planning, business development, product management, technical consulting and operations.

He has served as the vice president of business development for Comcast Business Communications in Philadelphia and Director of National Planning for Teleport Communications of Princeton, N.J. providing commercial communication services. He began his communications career with AT&T in Bedminster, N.J. as district manager for local access and business development.

Guerra also is the founder of Home Central, a company that provides home owners and small business owners with the ability to manage their security systems, surveillance devices, heating and air conditioning systems and other devices remotely over the Internet.

He is a cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and graduated with honors from Seton Hall University's W. Paul Stillman School of Business with a master's degree in business administration.

 

  

Grey Humphrey is the President of PalmettoNet and Chief Marketing Officer for Spirit Communications.

Humphrey joined Spirit Telecom in 1998 as the general manager of the data networks group. Before taking his current role at PalmettoNet, Humphrey was Spirit's Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Spirit, Humphrey worked for TSI LineOne, SouthernNet, Telecom*USA, MCI and SCANA Communications.

A native of South Carolina, Humphrey is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in administrative management. He received his master of business administration from the University of South Carolina, Moore School of Business.

 

  

Tim has worked for Spirit Communications since July 2006 and was previously the company's director of accounting. In addition to overseeing the operations of the finance department, Tim is responsible for overseeing the budget and annual external audit, updating the monthly projections, participating in the company's strategic planning sessions, and presenting the monthly financial statements to the company's board of directors.

Before joining Spirit, Tim was a senior audit manager with the CPA firm Bauknight Pietras and Stormer, P.A. for nine years. While there, he specialized in accounting and audit services for telecommunications and technology companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 100 companies.

Tim has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting and a master's degree in accountancy from University of South Carolina, and he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
